Ilya is an affectionate, cuddly pup who thrives on connection, physical touch, and love from his people. He's a quick learner who is eager to please and treat motivated (and very gentle when he takes treats). He will sit for a treat and to be leashed up at the door. He is active and playful and loves to take fast laps around the yard with some adorable bunny hop/deer prances in between. He has quick bursts of energy but after 10-15 minutes, he's ready to go lounge around with you. As long as he gets a walk and a few outside breaks during the day, he is more than happy to curl up and quietly nap at your feet or a nearby window for several hour stretches. He walks well on a leash and is non-reactive, but seems interested in other people walking, dogs, and especially squirrels.
