Husk's Story

We have bios from the foster mom for these two adorable pups!!!

Everyone, meet Husk (F-brown) and Dusty (M-brown/white), our current foster babies from Prairie Pooches Rescue. They've been with us for about 2 weeks now, and they're adjusting nicely to the sweet life of having a home to live in, full bellies, and love.

🩷Miss Husk (aka Huskers) is a sweet girl who loves to snuggle, but she's also got a playful, mischievous streak. She's always the one who tries to hide from the other dogs while in the yard, and then pounces towards them, trying to take them by surprise. She's not great at hiding though, so you'll just see her there, paws and head down, and butt and tail wagging high in the air, just waiting to pounce. She loves being outside, playing in the snow, and isn't afraid to jump face first into a snowbank. Husk is doing great with training, and now rings the bells at the back door when she has to pee. She's also learned to sit, and is currently working on spinning around in a circle as her next trick. She's a smart girl, thats for sure. Husk adores any and all toys, bones, and treats. She LOVES to snuggle though, and will happily sit/lay in your lap while you groom her, and her luscious hair. She's honestly just a big teddy bear. 🩷

Both Husk and Dusty are crate training, and are finally sleeping in their crate from approximately 10pm til 7am every night, which is a HUGE bonus! No more middle of the night pee breaks, yay!

Prairie Pooches Rescue is a volunteer and foster based rescue. All our dogs are in foster homes and approved adopters are required to meet the dogs at the foster homes.

Adoption fee is $350. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinations UTD, dewormed and microchipped. Adoption applications and home visits are done for all adoptions. Please fill out an application if interested on our website www.prairiepoochesrescue.com

****Due to an overwhelming amount of emails and phone calls we receive we will only respond to ones that have an application attached. Thank you****
