Hunter's Story
Meet Hunter!

BIG NEWS!
At this time, Hunter is currently working with a trainer to learn more about the way of the world and how to handle his big emotions! He has made great strides with us since being at the shelter, but it is starting to take a toll on his mental state. So that Hunter can truly thrive and reach his full potential, we are searching for his forever home to get him out of the overwhelming shelter environment as we continue his training!

Hunter is a Husky mix that is around 3 years old. He found his way to us as an emergency surrender due to his owner not being able to properly care for him. Hunter was under-socialized up until this point, but now with a handful of snacks and calm environment, he warms up quickly. He may require more than one meet and greet to allow him to fully trust and understand his adopter, and to allow them to fully understand him! He enjoys love and affection from his people, but is still learning to understand the appropriate way to channel his energy and properly receive this affection. Hunter will need a patient adopter who is experienced with large breeds and these behaviors. Once Hunter warms up to his friends, he comes out of his shell and becomes very playful! He is treat motivated and knows the "sit" command. When he is out in the play yard, he can be independent and sniffs around. Despite his independence, he likes to keep an eye on his humans to make sure they stay close by. Due to Hunter still learning some of his manners, he would do best in an adult-only home.

If you are interested in adopting Hunter, please fill out an adoption application on our website.

Dog Application: https://lebanonhumane.org/dog-adoption-application/

PA Kennel License 3606- Myerstown
