Meet Hunter

FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State. We are a local foster home based rescue.

Hunter is a tender hearted boy who is longing for a home where he can enjoy his retirement. He would love a quiet, calm home that isn't too busy. Hunter gets very excited when it's walk time and he can sometimes forget his leash manners. With a little patience, time and gentle leash training reminders you will have the best walking buddy in the neighborhood!

Hunter has lived peacefully with a cat and would be fine in a home with cats. He is particular about his canine friends because he had a negative experience with other large dogs at a dog park. We do think that he would be ok with another dog possessing the same respectful demeanor that he possesses. Because of the quick and unpredictable nature of small children we are requiring that any children in the home be 12 years of age or older. Hunter has impeccable house manners and is a gentleman in the home.

Hunter recently received a yearly wellness exam. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccines. Hunter is 9 years old and weighs 85 pounds.

Please note, we have approximately a 200 mile adoption radius from Stanwood WA for our Senior Dogs. Save-A-Mutt may limit this distance based on the long term needs of this pet. We don’t adopt out of state except to the Vancouver BC area. We don’t ship dogs. Once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up their dog. For questions about this dog please call Elizabeth Woche, Senior and Special Needs Dog Coordinator, at 425-345-3876.
