Hunnicutt's Story
Hunnicutt is a high-energy, big-hearted 3-year-old boy who lives life at full speed -- and loves every second of it! If you're looking for a dog who will be absolutely thrilled to see you every day, Hunnicutt is your guy. His excitement is contagious, and he isn't shy about showing affection (expect happy wiggles and enthusiastic greetings!).
He is extremely treat-motivated, which makes training a breeze. He happily goes into his kennel for a reward and is already learning great manners -- he'll even sit inside his kennel to patiently earn his treat. With consistency and positive reinforcement, this smart boy is going to keep shining.
Hunnicutt is mostly potty trained and thrives on routine. A structured schedule really helps him succeed. He gets along well with other dogs and would likely benefit from a confident, well-mannered canine sibling to show him the ropes. (Cats are currently unknown.)
Because he's energetic and tends to excitedly circle around people, he may accidentally bump into little ones or anyone unsteady on their feet. For that reason, he'd likely do best in a home without small children or seniors. Poor Hunnicutt is currently heartworm positive and will be treated of our vets at CSRA Expense.
💙 Hunnicutt's Ideal Home:
* Active adopter or family
* Committed to continued training
* Structured routine
* Possibly a well-balanced dog sibling
* No small children or mobility concerns
If you want a loyal, lively companion who will keep you moving, laughing, and feeling loved every single day, Hunnicutt is ready to be your adventure buddy.
