Humphrey 's Story

Meet Humphrey 💛

This tiny 4.5-lb gentleman may be small, but his world revolves around one thing: other dogs! Humphrey appears to be a Dachshund mix who truly comes alive in the company of his canine friends. He takes comfort, confidence, and joy from other pups and would thrive in a home with friendly dog companions to help him feel safe and settled.

Humphrey is much more dog-oriented than people-focused and looks to his furry friends for reassurance. Once he feels secure, his sweet and affectionate personality shines through. He bonds closely with his person and prefers to stay nearby — ideally being carried or included in whatever you’re doing. Being separated or left on the ground can feel a little overwhelming for him right now, so he’ll do best with a patient adopter who understands sensitive, companion-style dogs.

He greets dog friends with joyful enthusiasm and is still learning polite social manners, as excitement sometimes gets the best of this happy little guy. With gentle guidance and routine, he continues to make great progress.

Like many small dogs transitioning into a new home, Humphrey will benefit from continued potty-training support. A belly band during his adjustment period helps set him up for success while he learns household routines.

Humphrey’s ideal home will be calm, understanding, and dog-savvy — one that appreciates a tiny pup who finds confidence through companionship and wants to be part of daily life every step of the way. In return, you’ll gain a deeply devoted little sidekick who just wants to feel safe, included, and loved.

If you have friendly resident dogs and room in your heart (and arms!) for a sensitive little companion, Humphrey may be your perfect match 🐾

Adoption fee: 4️⃣5️⃣0️⃣

***Serious inquiries only please.
Please go to our website to submit an application, ONLY after reading the entire post description.

If you are not ready to adopt please do not request or submit an application.
