Huginn's Story
Huginn

German Shepherd Mix • Norse Myth Squad

Foster Location: Kenosha, WI
Age/Breed: 12 weeks old • German Shepherd mix (we suspect dad may have been a Lab mix, but like many wandering Vikings… he left no proof behind)

From the legendary Norse Myth Squad comes Huginn — named after one of Odin’s ravens, the symbol of thought and wisdom. And this boy absolutely lives up to his name.

Huginn is the thinker of the group. While other puppies may rush headfirst into adventure, Huginn pauses, observes, and takes everything in before joining the fun. He is intelligent, measured, and confident without being pushy. He prefers to watch first, then step forward with quiet assurance. For a 12-week-old puppy, that kind of balance is something special.

He is already showing impressive manners for his age. Huginn naturally seeks the outdoors to go potty and is doing wonderfully with house training. He is kennel trained (his own little “longhouse”) and settles nicely when it’s time to rest. He has just begun working on leash training and basic commands, and with his sharp shepherd mind, he’s picking things up quickly.

Huginn does well with other dogs, kids, and cats. With cats, he is still refining his diplomacy skills — he will not hurt them, but he may bark as he continues learning appropriate manners.

With a medium energy level, Huginn offers the perfect balance of playful and steady. He enjoys balls, sticks, and ropes, but he is just as content bonding with his people. He is already showing signs of becoming deeply loyal and affectionate — the kind of dog who will grow into a steadfast companion and constant shadow.

Huginn’s Highlights:

Great with dogs, kids, and cats (working on cat manners)

Naturally chooses to potty outside

Kennel trained and settles well

Beginning leash training and basic commands

Medium energy level

Observant, intelligent, and thoughtful

Confident without being pushy

Deeply loyal and affectionate

Adoption Fee: $450

If you are looking for a steady, intelligent companion with shepherd loyalty and legendary heart, Huginn may be your perfect match.

Apply to adopt at MastroMutts.com/forms

Huginn is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and is being fostered in Kenosha, WI.
