Hudson's Story

Little Hudson is a happy well adjusted little pup! He and his brother had a rough start at life until a caring humane truck driver pulled them out of weeds at a truck stop. They were soaking wet, cold and only 6 weeks old. With loving care and social time they are thriving! Talk about smart. Hudson is doing great with his crate training and housebreaking. He is social with other dogs, cats, chickens and ducks! Not to leave out, he LOVES kids and cuddles! Hudson will stick with you on trail off leash. He feels safer being close to his person than running too far out. This is a perfect temperament for outdoor activities of any kind! Looking for a great addition to the family, Hudson will fill your heart. Update 2/17/26 This is beyond understanding why Hudson has not been adopted yet. He has been with us for almost 6 weeks since he was 6 weeks old. He has a great loving personality and has excelled in all his basic training at the current point. Understanding and receiving a structured pathway into learning how to learn, Hudson will be easy to continue with his training that is already in place. He is great with kids and would make the perfect addition to the family. Adjusting into a home of his own at his young developing age is all he strives for. Animal Care and Welfare Inc.'s Adoption Policy

Serious inquiries should be made by phone 412-580-9512 in order to communicate better your needs and our homeless pet's wants. You can also email us at animalcareandwelfare@yahoo.com. Meet and greets are set up in the Robinson Township area of Pittsburgh in North Fayette. Applications are available to fill out on line and submit back. You must contact us to request an application be sent to your email. If you rent, we will need written verification that you are allowed to have a pet. All parties in the household need to be in agreement of the new pet addition and be present at the meet and greet. We do not do third party adoptions. If you are interested in an additional dog for your home, your dog must be at the meet and greet so we may evaluate the potential relationship. All pets already in your household are required to be spayed/neutered for an adoption to be approved. All cats and dogs adopted through AC&W are temperament tested, spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, tested for FeLV/FIV (cats), tested for HWT (dogs), vaccinated, wormed, groomed, have flea/tick treatment applied and basic training is introduced. We reserve the right to be selective of the potential adopters we interview. Just because you may not fit the criteria for any particular homeless pet in our care, does not mean you are not a good pet owner. We have a high rate of successful adoptions because we are very selective of the pets we acquire and fit them into the home we feel will be the best match for their temperaments and needs. We hope you will understand and respect that we want to set our homeless pets up for success so they never have to experience homelessness again.
