HUCKLEBERRY IS UR FRIEND's Story
Huckleberry is YOUR friend always. This handsome but shy pure bred German Shepherd is only three years old and weigh 80 pounds. He came to a very small town poor shelter in Tennessee and was terrified and scared to death.

A very experienced and capable foster of Critter Cavalry Rescue came to his rescue and took home and is working with him daily. He is with two other GSD's and some other smaller dogs and even cats. He is wonderful with everyone. He is NOT dominant and despite being timid, Huck was able to warm up to the photographer during the course of his photoshoot. The things that come to mind when observing Huckleberry is a kindness and gentle nature about him. Sensitive would be another word that aptly describes this handsome boy. He came to the shelter as a stray so we know nothing of his back story. You can tell that there is a story and some past injury to his ears and one of them Lays limp and the other has a chunk carved out of the tip of his ear. Oh the stories our poor rescued dogs could tell. Thankfully they seem to have healed well and don’t cause him discomfort, so his unique ears only give him more character. Huck would do best in a home with a large fenced yard that he can securely roam in. He needs the room to stretch his long legs and big body securely. Right now he could spook easily and we don't want him only to be walked on a leash Due to no secured yard and fencing. He may also benefit from sharing a home with another well-trained and submissive dog, a buddy for him to model after and help build his confidence back up. He’s done well with children and cats in his foster home so far. We have this boy with a trained foster who has taken her GSD to a very knowledgeable trainer for school and therefore she has the tools to start Huck on his way to being a mannerly and trained dog. Confidence building be an ongoing thing for a while. We want an experienced German Shepherd or dog training person and family for this boy. Is that you? Rare to find a healthy and young, handsome GSD like Huck up for adoption in a rescue.

Email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com

ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Contact ccrtennessee@gmail.com.
