Huckleberry's Story
Huckleberry arrived at the shelter in pretty rough shape and we're so happy to see him finally ready for adoption. He was extremely underweight, dirty and matted and pretty darn sad. Now we have the exact opposite dog and he's ready for his new amazing life.

Huckleberry had a large lump removed from his neck and we are happy to report that it was benign and the site has healed up completely!

Huckleberry loves everyone and needs...NEEEDS to be your friend. He's happy to climb counters, jump on benches and grabs on for a hug. We are working on his manners and his exuberance can sometimes be a problem! He will need to keep working on leash manners and basics to become a fine upstanding canine citizen.

Currently Huckleberry would likely need to be a solo dog as he gets too worked up when he sees other dogs. We are working on helping him meet and see other dogs and remain a bit calmer as we think he really wants to make friends.

Huck would be best in an adult only home or with older dog savvy kids. He can still get a bit overexcited and might overwhelm a small child due to his size.
