Huck's Story
Huck is an incredibly sweet and wonderful dog. He is a big boy (90lbs) and overall pretty gentle and calm. All he wants is to be around his family, he LOVES going for walks. Otherwise he enjoys playing with his toys or just cuddling on the couch. He is very friendly and can be a little bit goofy but also seems very trainable (we have taught him to respect boundaries so not jump up on us and to sit and wait while we fill his food bowl). Huck's previous owner relinquished him to us because of personal medical issues within their family (there were no issues with Huck). Huck has a history of mild resource guarding. We have not noticed any issues however we do keep him separate from our own animals. He has always lived with cats with his previous owners and apparently would occasionally give a warning growl/snap if one of the cats walked by him while he was eating. He is friendly to other dogs when we go for walks and completely ignores reactive dogs. He is walked regularly with one of the fosters other dogs and he gave a warning snap to her once when they were both interested in something on the ground. His resource guarding is why we think he would do best in a home without small children. It is mild and likely easily manageable by simple environmental management

We are unable to answer every email.
