This intelligent farm/ranch dog is looking for a quiet, peaceful, forever home. He is a dignified and independent dog, but also gentle and purposeful when he needs to be. He is alert, suspicious, and protective, and shows some herding instincts (the border collie part of him!). He gets along with other dogs selectively - Hubbub spent his early years as a stud dog in an open-breeding operation, and therefore prefers the company of female dogs. During that time, he was alpha leader and 'big daddy' - he took his family leadership and protection duties very seriously!

His observant, cautious, and guarded nature means he's very thoughtful and takes his time getting to know new people. With his history and life experience, he's an alpha who demands and gives respect (as earned), and deserves a loving home that can give him the peace and human companionship he needs in his current life phase. If you think you can give Hubbub the place he needs and the retirement he deserves, he would love to meet you!

The adoption donation is negotiable and includes a general vet exam, neuter surgery, heartworm testing and/or treatment (as necessary), shots, microchip, and worming. Experienced dog ownership and credible vet references are required in order to adopt from H.E.R.
