Houdini Plott Hound Mix Eau Claire, WI

Hello, my name is Houdini and I was surrendered to the shelter. I am available for adoption because my previous owner moved to a small apartment and was not able to take me with. I am a calm and pleasant 11 year old neutered male Plott Hound mix with a very handsome brindle coat. I have not had formal obedience training, but I am housebroken and I do know sit and come. I am good with strangers and expect all of them to come over and pet me, but like a lot of senior dogs, I would prefer a home without young children. I have been known to follow my hound nose to adventure, look up, and wonder where I am, so please keep me on leash or in a fenced in yard when outside. There is nothing better than bath-time with a soft brush massage followed by cuddle-time with my favorite humans. I love attention, but I am also independent enough to be happy with just being near you when you are busy. I do have a fear of sticks and loud noises like guns, so please don't take me hunting with you.
