Hope soulful's Story
You’re right—the puppies were already home with you when Hope came back. Here’s the corrected version:

Start here: Fill out an adoption application at upshotdogrescue.org. Follow Hope’s journey on Instagram @upshotdogrescuepr and Facebook Charlaine Raynor. Once we receive your application, we’ll set up a FaceTime call.

Meet Hope 3 years old, 35 pounds

Hope’s story is one we’ll never forget. One day, she appeared in our yard. We didn’t know how she got there, but it was clear she’d been through a lot. She was already spayed, had been banged up trying to survive on the streets, and seemed much more like a dog who wanted to be inside with people than one meant to live outdoors.

We put Hope on the other side of our fence while we figured out how to help her, since we had unvaccinated puppies at home. She got out, and when I went looking for her, I found her with four other dogs on the property behind ours—including two beautiful puppies, Desi and Luci. I brought the puppies home. While I was giving them a bath, I watched Hope jump right back over the fence and into my property. She never left again. She had found her way home.

Hope is beautiful and soulful, with the sweetest white eyelashes. She’s still working through what she’s been through, and watching her blossom has been an amazing reminder of why we rescue.

35pounds
Crate trained
Potty trained
Does wonderfully in the house
Prefers male dogs
Can feel insecure around dominant dogs
Beautiful white eyelashes

Hope is ready for a patient, loving family who will let her keep growing at her own pace.
