Hope's Story

Meet Hope

Hopes name couldnt be more fitting.

This sweet little 34-year-old, 10-pound girl has endured more than any dog ever should. She came to us with almost no hair, her tiny body showing the signs of unimaginable neglect and suffering. While well never know exactly what happened to her or why she was treated so unfairly, were incredibly grateful she found her way to us—and even more grateful that one extraordinary foster mom refused to give up on her.

With months of love, patience, and dedicated care, Hope has made an incredible transformation. Her coat has grown back beautifully, shes regained her confidence, and shes finally discovering what it means to be safe and loved. While shell always carry a few scars and reminders of her past, they simply tell the story of how resilient she truly is.

Hope has been spayed and is ready to begin her next chapter with a family of her own.

She has a hilarious, spunky personality and isnt afraid to let everyone know shes in charge. She especially enjoys keeping all the young puppies in line, happily playing the role of the fun police when their antics get a little too wild. Beneath that confident exterior is a loyal, affectionate companion who simply wants to be part of a family.

Hope is wonderfully adaptable and would be happy as your one-and-only spoiled princess or as part of a pack with respectful canine companions. Underdog Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Thank you for reading about our awesome dogs. All dogs came to us from different situations and we often do not know much about their past, but they are rescue dogs who deserve a second chance and need patience on their journey. All of our dogs our are in foster homes all across the bay area. The first step of the process is you must submit an application in order to set up a meet and great or talk with the foster family. Once application is submitted the foster parents will contact you to chat more about the dog and make sure they're a good fit and can answer any further question. The application answers most of all of our questions and can best match you. If you do not get the dog you apply for we can use your same application for 90 days towards another dog in our care and simply forward your app to that foster parent. **Reminder we are all volunteers working hard to save these dogs, some dogs may receive 20+ application to all be reviewed. We do our best to respond to all apps as we can. Please be patient and feel free to send us a follow up email if needed. http://form.jotform.com/underdogca/dog-adoption-application All dogs will be fully vetted (Spay/ Neutered, Micro chipped, DHPP and Rabies Vaccinated) and other possible vet care prior to adoption. The adoption fees vary by animal and are considered a non refundable donation Visit us at www.underdogca.com or follow us on IG@underdoganimalrescueca https://www.facebook.com/underdogCA A little more about us: Underdog Animal Rescue is a foster based rescue serving the Bay Area of Northern California. Since our start in 2014, we have built an outstanding team and have grown into a strong network of volunteers dedicated to saving the Underdogs in our shelters and community. We have dedicated our efforts to giving a second chance to the dogs that are most in need (medically or behaviorally) and the dogs that have been overlooked for too long. As a foster based rescue, Underdog places dogs in temporary foster homes where they can decompress and get the love and affection that they need. Dogs are also vaccinated, spayed/neutered and receive any other medical treatment needed before finding their forever home. Rescue is undoubtedly hard and trying work but it is entirely worth it to see the life of a dog saved. As a rescue, we believe it is our duty to save the dogs that really need our help; the dogs that need a little TLC, a little medical care, or just someone to believe in them again. This is why we save the dogs that are on their last days at the shelter or haven't even been given a chance to be adopted by the public. As much as we love those sweet puppy eyes, we think more of saving their mommy’s and daddy’s that have been shoved to the back of the shelter awaiting their fate. Thank you for seeing what we do and loving us for it. It’s only because of our outstanding community, foster families and volunteers that we are able to continue our efforts.
