Hope's Story
Meet Hope!

This sweet girl was dropped at a local veterinarian's office at a young age and the vet reached out to BARK to take her in. She is about 58 pounds full grown and has a beautiful, shiny, tan coat. She is such a sweet but shy girl. She is shy to new people and is scared of big tall men. She also has some barrier issues meaning she seems naughty to people through fences. More than likely this was from some type of abuse that happened in her past. This has improved since she has been in a foster home.

Everyone at our rescue loves Hope once you get to know her. She is shy and puts on a front but deep down she is more insecure than anything. Luckily, one of our amazing volunteers decided to foster her and continue to build up her self-esteem! She has been in a foster home for the last several months and is thriving. Her barrier issues are improving. She is not a big fan of cats. She is being socialized with other dogs. She loves any and all dogs that have come to the foster home. She loves to swim, run, and play. She has learned some commands. She comes to her name and she knows sit and is learning down. She walks well on a leash and is just a big love bug. If she trusts you then you will be her favorite person. She definitely needs a home with someone who is experienced with dogs that have trust issues with certain people. She has improved greatly since being in a home setting.

Our perfect ideal home for Hope would be with a couple without children or with older children. An active couple who enjoys the great outdoors, water and nature as those are all the things Hope enjoys too! No cats in the home but would love to have a furry dog friend!!!

Hope is young and deserves to have a full life ahead of her. BARK pulls dogs that are overlooked and unwanted because we know all animals will succeed in the right home!!!!

Hope is truly amazing and we hope that you consider adding her to your family!!!
