We do not have a shelter. <br/>If you are interested in adopting, visit our website www.ajourneyhomedogrescue.org to fill out an application. After your application has been received and given a preliminary approval, you will be contacted by an adoption coordinator who will conduct a phone interview. Final approval will be granted following a successful meet and greet with the entire family. Adopter must be at least 21 yrs old. <br/><br/>A Journey Home does not do out-of-state adoptions on unaltered puppies. Spay/neuter surgery is not done on puppies under 6 months of age. If adopting a puppy under the age of 6 months, we require that the adopter schedules the spay/neuter at our participating vet clinic when age appropriate. <br/><br/>Our standard adoption fee is $300, payable by cash or check. The fee includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative, a free vet visit at one of our participating clinics, and micro-chipping. <br/><br/>First time pet owners will be required to sign up for a puppy/training class at a place of their choice.
