Hope's Story

Meet Hope!
We’re looking for the perfect forever home for this sweet 2-year-old girl, a possible Lab/bully mix with the softest eyes and the sweetest heart. She’s been living with us as a foster through Bruno’s Foundation, and now she’s looking for her happily-ever-after!

What is Hope’s story?
Hope came from Stanislaus Animal Shelter where her clock was literally ticking down and Bruno’s Foundation saved her 30 minutes before her euthanasia deadline. Hope’s name truly matches her story; she’s living proof that miracles happen.

So who is Hope?
Hope has been living with her foster family with two other dogs, four kids and lots of chaos. She’s been an absolute superstar. She’s fully potty trained, crate trained, great with kids, and gentle with treats. She loves people, especially women, and though she can be timid around men at first, she warms up with patience and kindness. She enjoys being near her humans but will also quietly put herself to bed in her crate. And at night? She sleeps like an angel.

Two things to note: cats are just too interesting for her and she wants to chase them so a feline-free home is best. Second, Hope can be timid when meeting new people and will sometimes cower with fast movements, so she will need slow introductions.

Hope’s vibe?
Moderate energy, good with dogs, good with kids, likes to give kisses, loves her naps, happy to walk and great on leash. She gets excited when greeting her people and may jump up at first, but she settles quickly. She genuinely wants to make you proud and will thrive with some basic obedience and continued structure.

We’re now looking for Hope’s forever home, a place where she can be safe and loved. Her ideal home would be cat free, full of affection, and someone ready to show her that she’ll never be left behind again.

If you think Hope might be your girl, reach out to Bruno’s Foundation - we’d love to introduce you!
Adoption includes hopes spay, microchip, vaccines, deworming, and she is current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Hopes foster describes her as low to medium energy, generally preferring a nice nap by the fire but will show you all the love when you come home from a day at work.

Bruno's Foundation's Adoption Policy
We are a foster based facility, meaning all of our animals are in homes, not a shelter environment. This allows us to get to know them better, and provide on one training for each animal. In order to limit the amount of people going in and out of our foster homes, we do require a filled out application prior to a meet and greet. We are a 501c3 non profit. All adoption donations are tax deductible! Please click the link on this page to fill out an application for adoption. Allow 48 hours for a reply, we only have one person who reviews applications so please be patient. A phone call will be scheduled should your application fit the needs of the pet you’re applying for. During this time, we will set up a meet and greet, then a home check (virtual or in person). We DO allow out of state adoptions however you will be required to travel to pick up, and this will depend on how the pet you’re applying for does with travel. All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed prior to adoption.
