Honor's Story

Honor is a 10-month-old male Beagle/Chihuahua mix, about 10 pounds, with the most adorable folded forward ears!. Honor and his sibling Liberty (adopted) were born at the rescue on 5/22/25 to momma Daisy (avail for adoption), who was pulled from the Fresno public shelter pregnant. Honor is timid at first but quickly becomes your best buddy. He likes to be where the people are and will let you know he misses you when left alone! He is good with other dogs, but would do fine being an only dog. He is a cuddle bug with adults but has been afraid of children, cats unknown. He needs all the things puppies need; potty training, leash walking and further socialization! To request an adoption application, email smidgetrescue@hotmail.com Adoption contract and fee applies. All adoptable dogs can be met at adoption events hosted every weekend or private meet ad great after application review. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Puppies are adopted with a refundable spay/neuter deposit (in addition to the adoption fee) and adopters are required to get their puppy to our vet for their pre-scheduled spay-neuter appointments. APPLICATIONS CAN BE OBTAINED BY EMAIL ONLY. Adoption process includes application, meet & greet, home visit and reference check.
