Honey's Story

Honey is a laid back lady. At 3-4 years old, she is grown up but still has her life ahead of her. She weighs about 52 pounds and has an attractive, shiny black and brindle coat. She is robust and healthy and has been enjoying our new fenced area for running, playing with her young friend Casey, and soaking up the spring sunshine.

Honey is calm and gentle when she meets new people. She gets along with children and other dogs and does not seem to be particularly interested in cats. With a fenced yard for exploring and exercise and a family or individual to give her love, Honey will be a content, loyal friend. Powell County Animal Shelter 's Adoption Policy
We have an application form that gives us information about potential adopters' homes and family situations. This helps us to determine if an animal will be safe in their new environment, and if the new owner would be willing and financially able to care for a new pet and to commit to keeping it for the span of its natural life. In addition to logistical and practical questions, we encourage potential owners to think about how they will live daily with a new pet, and to understand what a lifelong commitment to a pet means.
