Honey is as sweet as, well... honey! This beautiful 3-year-old, 9-pound Cavapoo is a former puppy-mill breeder who was surrendered once she was no longer considered useful for breeding. Despite her difficult past, Honey is discovering that people can be kind. She's friendly once she gets past her initial shyness, loves cuddles, and is slowly learning what it means to be a cherished companion.<br/><br/>Honey still has some things to learn—like realizing that the TV isn't something scary that needs to be barked at! Like many puppy-mill survivors, she'll need a patient and compassionate adopter who understands that building confidence takes time. With gentle encouragement and new experiences at her own pace, Honey is making wonderful progress.<br/><br/>Honey is crate-trained, although she doesn't consider it her favorite place to be. She is still working on her potty manners and would do best with access to a fenced yard. A well-balanced canine companion would also be a wonderful addition to her new home, giving Honey a friend and mentor to help show her the ropes. She gets along well with other small-to-medium-sized dogs, although she hasn't quite figured out how to play yet.<br/><br/>Honey has spent enough of her life being valued only for what she could produce.
