Honey Bee's Story

She came from a very difficult situation that left her with broken bones requiring surgery, and she has handled her recovery like a true champion. She is healing beautifully and is currently cleared for two 15–20 minute walks a day, along with a few gentle daily stretches to keep her comfortable and strong.

What truly sets Honey Bee apart is her personality. She is incredibly friendly with people and absolutely overflowing with affection. Wiggly, kissy, and deeply devoted, she wants nothing more than to be as close to her humans as possible. She may take a brief moment to warm up when meeting new men, but once she knows she’s safe, her sweet, loving nature shines through.

Honey Bee enjoys being near her people but also does well with structure. She settles in her crate after a short protest and then sleeps soundly through the night. Due to her past experiences, she needs slow, proper introductions with other dogs—ideally calm, friendly pups who can help show her the ropes as she continues to blossom into a playful, happy companion. She rides well in the car and will be ready for bigger adventures once her recovery is fully complete.

Honey Bee is a special little soul—resilient, affectionate, and ready to give her whole heart to the family lucky enough to call her their own.

If you’re interested in adopting Honey Bee, please fill out an application at www.labradorsandfriends.org.

Honey Bee is located in Southern California.
