Honey's Story
Honey, Honey Bee. Honey Pot
All of these describe this magnificent beauty of a girl. To her people, she's pure Honey, nectar of the gods dripping from the spoon of doggie love!
Honey has been through so very much in her short life, abandoned over and over again as "owners" moved repeatedly and left her with neighbors, family members, acquaintances......always saying they would return for her but never did. And she roamed the streets looking for shelter and food until people were planning to shoot her. Outside any city limits, on Texas backroads, she was in real danger. What saved her was nothing short of another rescue miracle.
You see, several years ago we did a community spay for someone who "owner" her. The vet's office mistakenly microchipped her to us as all our dogs are chipped and they didn't realize she wasn't ours. So, when this girl was taken to a local pound as a stray to keep her from being killed in the country, they scanned her and the rest is history.
As Honey's sad history unfolded. we knew she belonged here. All her medical needs have been addressed, and she is now ready for a home, a REAL HOME that doesn't abandon those they love. One that doesn't forsake those who are loyal to them like this beautiful girl was to those she called her family.

Honey may need to be in a home with no other female dogs as she will growl at the other girls at the rescue.
Honey knows how to bark when she is contained outside and loves to dig. But that's outside --- inside she's the dream dog.
Kennels well, walks on leash like a pro, loves to go on rides, outings, hikes, lake visits, you name it. Loves anything you do with her and meets people like old friends.

The link to the adoption application:
https://sweetpups.wufoo.com/forms/q1k5qz750746m55/

Our email address:
swe181@sweetpups.org

Adoption fee $200
Transport is available for out of area adopters but is not included in the adoption fee.

Learn more about us on our website:
www.sweetpups.info

All our dogs are located in Texas but we can arrange transport.
