Honey's Story

Meet Honey! This adorable 2-year-old, 60-pound female German Shepherd is ready to find her forever home. Honey and her siblings were rescued from the shelter when they were just a few days old. While she was previously adopted, she returned to the rescue because her family felt they couldn’t give her the time and space she truly deserves.

Honey is a smart girl who knows her basic commands and walks beautifully on a leash. She enjoys the company of both large and small dogs, and she absolutely loves exploring the beach and trails! With her loyal, goofy, and affectionate personality, she’s sure to bring a lot of joy to your life.

Please note, we haven't yet tested her with small animals or cats, but we're happy to help you learn how best to introduce her to new friends! Honey would thrive in a home that understands her breed and can offer her the structure, time, and attention she needs to be a happy and healthy companion. If you’re looking for a loving friend who’s ready to share adventures, Honey might just be the perfect match for you!

Boomer's Buddies Rescue's Adoption Policy
-You must be at least 21 years old to adopt. -You must live in Los Angeles or within a 4-hour driving distance. We do not ship animals. -In order to ensure the safety of our animals, you must be comfortable with conducting a virtual home-check (over FaceTime or Skype) or in-person home-check in which every member of your household must be present. -Most of our cats need to be adopted either in pairs or to homes that have other friendly cats/dogs (unless it is noted in the animal's profile). This is to ensure the cat has a lifelong companion when the human is not around and can prevent future behavioral issues that arise out of boredom/frustration. - Our adoption fee is $200 for a cat and $250 for a dog. If you are adopting two kittens as a pair, it is $175 each ($350 total). This includes at least one round of vaccines, microchipping, de-worming, tested for FeLV/FIV (for cats) spay/neuter, and a round of flea meds administered. -Our adoption fee does not cover the average cost of our rescues. We always provide any necessary medical care for the animals we take in, such as surgery for injuries or congenital problems, x-rays, blood panels, fecal tests, and treatment for upper respiratory infections and viruses. Donations above and beyond the adoption fee are greatly appreciated and help us continue to rescue animals most in need. Please note that due to the high volume of inquiries, you may not receive a response to your application.
