Honey's Story

Honey needs an owner who knows that corgis aren’t all Queen Elizabeth and cute behinds. Corgis are intelligent and energetic working dogs. Like most herding dogs, they thrive with training and daily exercise. Before she came to us, Honey went through 5 homes because no one was interested in building a relationship and working with her. After months of training, Honey is now a super star. She has amazing recall, she gets along well with cats and dog savvy kids, she is fiercely loyal and intelligent. But she won’t be at first unless you’re willing to put the work in. Honey’s adopter must be willing to develop a relationship through exercise and enrichment. She is not extremely affectionate but does enjoy pets and praise. She is potty and crate trained. She would do well in a home with cats and/ or respectful children but prefers to be the only dog. She can have dog friends but has a low tolerance for over-playful or pushy dogs. She is completely vetted included 6 months of heart worm protection.
