Honey's Story
Honey was brought to us after her owner passed away — grieving, dangerously underweight, and still nursing five newborn puppies. Despite everything, this brave mama kept doing what mothers do: protecting, nurturing, and loving her babies the best she could with the little she had left.

She came in starving, scared, and sick — and she was scheduled to be euthanized with her puppies by her side. But Honey got her second chance, and so did her babies. Now safe in rescue, she’s slowly starting to heal. You can see in her eyes how tired she is, but also how much hope and heart she still has. She’s gentle, loving, and calm — the kind of dog who just wants to be close, to feel safe, and to know she’s no longer alone.

Honey is a quiet soul. She’s easy to handle, so patient with her puppies, and has shown nothing but sweetness despite the unimaginable stress she’s endured. Once she’s medically cleared and her puppies are weaned, she’ll be ready for adoption — and she deserves a home full of softness, kindness, and love.
