Honey's Story
"Honey" is a 2 year old American Staffordshire Terrier that just had a litter of puppies. This momma & her 5 babes sat in a local shelter for 3 weeks... a shelter is no place to raise a family. When Honey began to get stressed in the shelter the 6 week old puppies were separated for their safety. We welcomed her and her five puppies into rescue. While Honey has continued to prefer her time apart from her puppies, she has settled in well and her milk production is drying up. She will be reintroduced to her puppies when she has time to decompress and if she is interested in helping raise them (if not the puppies will be introduced to other mentor dogs to help socialize them). Honey is a sweet girl and will be available for adoption once she has time to decompress and complete rehabilitation. Please consider donating to her care and rehabilitation.
