Holly's Story

Holly is the definition of sweetness with a side of silly charm. She is estimated to be about 5 years old and is a petite girl at just under 10 pounds, with plenty of puppy-like energy to share. She adores a warm lap and will happily curl up with her favorite people whenever she gets the chance.

Holly came to us from a hoarding situation this past summer. While in our care, she gave birth to three very sweet little girls, all of whom have found their furever homes. Holly was a fantastic momma, and now it is her turn to be spoiled in a home of her own.

Her slim, elegant legs move faster than her brakes can keep up with, giving her that joyful, slightly clumsy charm. Her gimpy leg does not slow her down one bit. Holly is playful, spirited, and full of life. Around here, she is lovingly known as “funny face” because of her adorable smile that shows off her teeth and her big personality.

She is also quite the collector and takes pride in stuffing as many toys as possible into her bed. Holly gets along well with other dogs and currently lives peacefully with three canine companions. Her feelings about cats are still unknown. She loves car rides, is fully housetrained, and has a quirky fondness for tomatoes, which is as hilarious as it sounds.

Because of her leg, Holly’s adopter will need to continue routine veterinary checkups and have it evaluated as needed. She occasionally uses Carprofen for comfort and has a splint that may be used when appropriate. This has not slowed her down and she continues to live a happy, active life.

If you are looking for a loving, playful, and endlessly entertaining addition to your family, Holly is ready to steal your heart and your favorite spot on the couch.

Idaho Animal Rescue Network's Adoption Policy
Upon completing an application for adoption, potential adopters are contacted via email or phone to discuss the needs (present and future) of the animal they hope to adopt. Approved adopters are then invited to meet with the animal one-on-one to get a better idea of their personality. In some instances, we offer them a couple of meet and greets. Because some of our animals come from abuse/neglect situations, we do not ever rush adoptions and appreciate the adopters who understand this process. A home visit is required and if renting, a potential adopter must provide landlord information so approval can be verified by our staff. * We do NOT adhere to a first-come adoption basis. We seek the best fit for the animals in our care.
