Holly's Story

Can you see me now? Have you ever watched a skin and bone homeless dog wagging her tail at everyone that passed her- begging for just one- someone to care!? Have you ever wondered how those people who passed her without so much as a glance have lost their "soul" and become so "cold and heartless"?

As our rescue partner in NC sat in the dentist chair she witnessed how immune they had become- these people who had no time for pity or caring. She watched this dog running around looking for something to eat, her protruding ribs that told the story of starvation! She watched for 30 minutes, scared she was going to get run over with cars making their way around her. She finally laid down on the bank lawn and our partner headed right to this dog as soon as she was out of the dentist office.....YES WE WANTED HER!

Her tail wagged with the joy of finally someone noticing and caring. She was sweet when she headed to our vets office in care, as if she'd ridden in cars before. We wondered if she had.....

Currently living with other dogs in her foster home in NC as she waits for that someone who will care FOR HER LIFETIME. She is doing well, happy to cuddle, happy to have dogs to play with and a person in her life who makes sure she is safe while waiting. She is good in the house, her crate and house manners show an easy temperament and a dog that would make a good choice if you are ready to add this girl to your family!

Our Mission
Our rescue focus is on adult dogs from the southeast that are in high kill shelters. Our plan is to fully vet as needed, evaluate and train as needed in preparation for adoption. We place our rescues in a foster home setting to prepare our dogs for a home of their own and to determine the best match for that rescue.
