Holland's Story

Meet Holland: Our Little Sunshine on Paws

Holland is the kind of dog who makes you believe in silver linings. At just 10 months old, this joyful pup has already overcome more than her fair share-but you'd never know it by the way she lights up a room.

She came to us in early November after undergoing surgery to correct an ectopic ureter, a congenital condition that causes incontinence. Originally, she was only supposed to stay for a two-week post-op recovery... but when her next placement fell through, we couldn't bear the thought of her returning to a kennel environment at headquarters. So she stayed-and we're so glad she did.

We're still fine-tuning her medication to help manage her leakage, but Holland doesn't let that slow her down one bit. She's a happy-go-lucky girl who sees every person, pup, and even cat as a potential new best friend. Her zest for life is contagious, and her favorite pastime? Trotting around with a toy or blanket in her mouth like a proud toddler showing off her treasures.

Holland would thrive in a lively home with another playful dog and a family who embraces her joyful chaos. She's great with kids, cats, and other dogs-and she's ready to bring sunshine to her forever home.

Ready to meet your new best friend? Holland is available for adoption through @squishyfacecrewva . Apply today at www.sfcva.org
