*PLEASE NOTE: We do not adopt out on a first-come/first-serve basis. Applications are accepted for a puppy and then a home check is scheduled. I’m Holland!! Aren’t I adorable !? My foster family tells me all the time that I am, so it must be true! Want to know a little bit more about me? Well…I love LOVE sticks and playing in the snow, so this weather is my jam! I’m crate trained and almost fully potty trained - I use my ‘potty bell’ when I need to go outside! I like to stay close to the humans here in my foster home, and even if I’m not right next to them, I’m happier when I can see what they are up to! I’m a total cuddle bug, and if you’re sitting down, I’d love to be on your lap or snuggled up on your shoulder. I love my squeaky chew toys, and I REALLY love tug-of-war with my sister. I like meeting other dogs, by and I love new people of all sizes I’m a sound sleeper and a big time snuggler! I’m ready to find my perfect furever family!! Like all puppies, I am dreaming of a home with patience and love and time to keep working on my homelife skills so I can be the very best new member of the family! If you would like to meet me, please fill out a preadoption application and a CDR volunteer will get back to you just as quick as they can! Delightful cuddles and sweet kisses-Holland **The ADOPTION FEE for this pet is $525 which includes getting the puppy/dog up to date on rabies, distemper and bordetella vaccines, fecal test and deworming if necessary, heartworm test, spay or neuter (not including pre-surgical bloodwork) and a microchip. Free access to our weekly training classes is also included for the life of the dog, something no other rescue in the area offers.*

Chicagoland Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy

First step is to decide if you are ready for a long term commitment owning a dog. Ask yourself if you are ready for vet bills, cost of food, training the dog, and what would happen to him/her if you became ill. Once you have decided you are ready for the commitment, the next step is to come to an adoption show and meet the dog you are interested in. Sometimes people fall in love with a picture, only to find another dog at the show better suits what they are looking for. Please remember to bring all family members, including dog(s), who live at the home to meet the new dog. We do not adopt out dogs as gifts.
