Hokulani's Story
Meet Hokulani
Name meaning: Hokulani is Hawaiian for "Heavenly Star." It fits her perfectly-she's gentle, bright, and full of heart.

Hokulani's story began when she was found straying on a property in HPP. Thankfully, she was safely secured and welcomed into foster care, where her sweet personality has been shining ever since. She's been putting on healthy weight, her fur is growing back beautifully, and her skin has improved so much with good care and love.

Personality & Home Life
Hokulani is truly a love. She's calm, affectionate, and enjoys being close to her people. She's completely housebroken, has free roam of her foster home, and is wonderfully respectful-she only chews on her bones and listens well. She sits nicely, comes when called, and has been an easy companion to live with.

She really wants to play with her foster sister Maggie, though Maggie isn't quite ready for that friendship yet. There's a bit of jealousy when both dogs want attention, but Hokulani handles it with patience and a soft heart.

Cat Interactions
Hokulani is more curious than anything. If a cat runs, she'll want to chase, but there's no indication she wants to harm them-just instinct and interest.
Cats who stand their ground get a respectful pause from her (and maybe a little backup when they hiss). Her foster's 13yearold Siamese, who's very dogsavvy, walks right past her with total indifference, and Hokulani responds the same way. With confident cats, she does beautifully.

Health & Vetting
Her skin is healing well, her coat is returning, and she's thriving with proper nutrition and care.

Why You'll Love Her
Hokulani is the kind of dog who blossoms with kindness. She's gentle, eager to please, and ready to be someone's loyal companion. After everything she's been through, she deserves a home where she can continue to shine like the heavenly star she is.
