Hogan's Story

Meet Hogan!

This handsome boy is around 1–2 years old, about 65 lbs, and has the sweetest calm nature. He’s a little shy at first, but once he warms up, his gentle spirit shines through. He loves running and playing alongside the dogs in the neighboring play yard—it’s pure joy to watch!

Hogan’s journey to us is nothing short of remarkable. A months weeks ago, he walked up to a fire station, collapsed, and was found weak and emaciated. He somehow knew exactly where to go for help. At the time, we didn’t have space for him, so he went to a veterinary hospital, where he received the care and treatment he desperately needed. That brave boy was Hogan!

Now healthy and on a special diet, Hogan has made an incredible recovery. He’s finally with us and ready to find his forever home. Just look into those soulful eyes—you’ll see the resilient heart of a survivor.

Want to meet Hogan
Apply today at dirksfund.com.
• A securely fenced yard (minimum 4 ft) is required.
• All applicants will be screened, including vet records and a home check.
• All household members (including dogs) must come to meet Hogan.
• Resident dogs must be current on vaccinations and altered.
• Adoption hours: Saturdays & Sundays, 10–2 in Pacific, MO.

Hogan’s been through so much already.
