Hocus's Story

Hocus is a gentle soul with a quiet spirit. At around 3 years old, she's lived a life that left her unsure of people-but since arriving at the shelter, she's slowly started to come out of her shell. Each day brings a little more confidence, and a little more light in her eyes.

When she first came to us, Hocus was severely underweight and very withdrawn. With time, love, and good care, she's gradually gaining weight and showing small signs of trust. She's still shy and will need a patient, understanding adopter who's willing to go at her pace and help her feel safe in a home again.

Hocus hasn't revealed her full personality yet, but we believe there's a sweet, loyal companion waiting to shine through with the right person by her side.

She's looking for a calm, quiet home where she can continue healing-and finally know what it feels like to be truly loved.
