Hilda's Story

Hilda and her sisters were found running down a country road on halloween last year (10/31/2022)
They had clearly been freshly dumped and they were skinny, starving and scared.
Fast forward to today and Hildas two other sisters have both been approved to go to separate homes in Canada and we are sure hoping Hilda gets her chance to travel to her new home too.

Hilda's personality is playful and loving. She loves to follow you everywhere and help with chores. She can be a little shy and submissive to new people and things but not for long. She is the most independent of her 3 sisters and prefers the company of her person and people over all else.
Hilda is eager to learn and is super smart.
She has been very well socialized with other dogs from 5 lbs to 200lbs and does well in large playgroups.
Hilda is very food motivated and is still learning she gets constant steady meals but she is not food aggressive with her people. She will be easy to train and learn because she is sovsmart and because will do just about anything for a treat.
Hilda is kennel trained and can be left alone for up to 8 hours if needed for work schedules but definitely needs an active patient home ready for a shepherd puppy and all they need.

We definitely recommend experienced puppy homes for this girl and even better, a home with shepherd experience
HIlda has met and been introduced to cats but does not live directly with kitties. She has done well seeing them from her yard. She is still very much a puppy and with training and continued supprt she should be able to be in a cat home.

Please do research on the energy and intelligence these shepherd breeds and all the pros and cons to having one. They are amazing dogs who will fourish in the right environment but not every home is a "shepherd home" ;)

Hilda is only 32 lbs at almost 5 months old but should mature to at least 50 lbs if not more. She is fully vetted (vaccinated, spayed and microchipped)and so ready for her own home. She has been on monthly heartworm prevention since her day of rescue and regular deworming.
She is a happy healthy girl and her current rescue family is here to answer any questions and send more pics and videos to any approved adopters.

Watch video to see me out playing with my siblings and some other pups at my rescue home
