Hershey's Story
Hershey is a 2-year-old lab and is just as sweet as his name! He has a beautiful chocolate brown coat with soulful brown eyes to match. Hershey was rescued from a high kill shelter and fostered briefly by a wonderful family. They absolutely adored him and reported that his smarts and love of treats enabled him to locate their snack drawer moments after entering their house for the first time. While with his foster family, he was a big time snuggle bug who was not afraid to get up on their laps despite his size and gave them hugs every chance he could get. Hershey enjoyed all the toys they provided, particularly pulling a new toy from the toy basket and pouncing on it playfully. His gentle nature allowed them to bathe him and take toys from him with no protest. The only catch was that Hershey didn’t like their cat. Hershey now waits for his forever home in doggie daycare where he has met lots of new friends and plays all day long. The perfect family for Hershey will have no cats, lots of time to play, and plenty of love to give!
