Hershey - Batesville

Meet Hershey: Hershey is about a 16 week old (as of October 9, 2026) chocolate lab mix (best guess) that weighs about 21 pounds. This adorable guy was dumped off on a road in Batesville, MS with his buddy Poppy and they were picked up by Animal Control and brought to a shelter. The shelter contacted our rescue and we were able to add them in to our crew! Hershey is being fostered in the south and would love to catch the next freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families! Hershey is a very friendly and active pup! Hershey loves people and gets along well with other dogs. Hershey has shown signs of food aggression, which we are working on with him, but he needs to be fed alone until he learns through this behavior. Hershey is a love and wants to please, so we are encouraged for training. Hershey is currently staying in an outside kennel with his buddy Poppy during the day and they are brought in at night to a crate. As a puppy, who spends most of his time outdoors, Hershey will need patience as he works on his house training and learns to walk on a leash. We would love for Hershey to have a home with a fenced in yard for him to run and play freely as he grows. Hershey is up to date on his puppy shots and will need to be neutered when age appropriate. Hershey is a young, trainable pup with lots of love to give! If you are interested in adding him into your family, please go to Charlie's Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application.

CURRENT LOCATION: Arkansas, awaiting transport to PA.
