Hershey's Story

Hershey is a handsome 4-year-old chocolate Lab weighing about 80 lbs, and he's truly a good, well-mannered boy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and heartworm negative. Hershey is dog friendly and previously lived in a home with children, where he did well. He has been house trained in the past but may need a refresher as he settles into a new routine. We recently attempted cat testing, but the shelter cat became too spooked to safely continue. From the brief interaction Hershey did see, he showed curiosity but no aggressive or concerning behavior and did not seem fixated on the cat. Like many dogs in a shelter environment, Hershey has some pent-up energy and would benefit greatly from regular exercise, structure, and a loving home where he can decompress and thrive. He's a loyal, gentle soul who deserves a family willing to give him the stability and love he's been waiting for.
