Forever Friends Humane Society's Adoption Policy
I first screen potential adopters, make sure it's a good fit for the dog,if not I suggest a dog that will fit in properly, then I make sure there are no restrictions as in breed or weight. I do a meet and greet sometimes in the home with the dog sometimes without the dog,but always a home check prior to them getting a dog. Then foster to adopt which means fostering a dog for a period of a week (7 days) then they can decide to continue to foster or adopt. All dogs get 2 free training sessions with a certified trainer once adopted, she also comes to initial drop off or later that day to go over how to be a great new dog owner.

We are here to save as many at risk dogs from the county shelters. We then rehibilitate and do some basic training prior to entering a home, then more training while in the home to ensure a successful adoption.
