Hera's Story

Hera was running the streets, pregnant, scared and just about ready to give birth. Thanks to some wonderful people, they were able to trap her and get her to us so she didn't have to have her babies in the freezing cold.

She gave birth to six beautiful puppies in December and has been busy in mom mode. She came to us scared and timid, and has been learning that humans aren't so bad, especially when they have pieces of chicken to share. While still skittish around new people, she is a sweet girl once you gain her trust.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an application. We do allow out of state adoptions and any transport costs are at the expense of the adopter. If you have further questions about this dog, please email us at ccradopt@gmail.com and someone will be in touch as soon as possible. Please note we are unable to hold dogs for adopters as this ties up valuable foster homes.

Please understand that we are an all volunteer group and we have jobs outside of this organization. We do our best to provide quick responses but occasionally they are a little slower. If you do not receive a response in 48 hours, please resend to make sure it's received.
