Meet Henry! <br/><br/>Henry is a sweet-as-sugar boy estimated to be between 1–2 years old, and he’s looking for a patient person who will give him the time and love he needs to truly blossom.<br/><br/>Henry can be very shy at first, but underneath that timid exterior is an incredibly gentle and loving dog. He loves being around people and wants to soak up everything happening around him—even if he prefers to observe from a comfortable distance at first. Once he feels safe, Henry warms up on his own terms and absolutely loves being pet.<br/><br/>He’s still learning how to “dog,” but he’s making wonderful progress! Henry has started playing and bouncing around the yard with his foster’s resident dogs and has learned so much simply by watching them. Having another dog in his forever home would likely be wonderful for him, although it isn’t a requirement.<br/><br/>Henry is also working hard on his potty training and has been doing amazingly well! <br/><br/>He has been around a houseful of people and teenagers and has done wonderfully. He just needs some time and will be eager to get to know you.<br/><br/>We’re unsure how Henry would do with cats or very young children, so those introductions would need to be approached thoughtfully.<br/><br/>Henry is truly one of the sweetest, gentlest boys you could meet. He doesn’t need perfection—he just needs patience, kindness, and someone willing to give him the time he needs to figure out how to be a dog. In return, you’ll get a loving companion who is ready to discover just how wonderful life can be.
