Henry's Story

Henry was first seen by a sweet woman several months ago wandering around her neighborhood. When she noticed he was getting thinner, she started putting out food for him. When the ice storm hit a few weeks ago, she didn't see him for a few days, and when he showed back up, his leg was broken badly. Thankfully, animal control was able to find him and get him to a rescue for surgery. He was not expected to live through it but came through with flying colors! <br/>He is getting better on 3 legs every day! He is happy to sleep and spend time in his crate but prefers the couch so he can lay his head on your lap! Henry is amazingly calm and loving for a dog that lived outside for so long. He is also a fast learner, he knew to stand next to the door to go outside by the second day! He hates bananas but loves sweet potato and peas!

Knox Vintage Pet Project's Adoption Policy
We have a written application all potential adopters must fill out. Once the application is complete, we call all vet references to make sure their current pets are well taken care of (up to date on vaccines and heartworm prevention, sterilized). If the adopter rents, we will call the landlord to make sure they are allowed to have pets and have no restrictions. We require a meet and greet with all of their current pets before adoption.
