Hendrix is ready to share his story!

Hey everybody, Hendrix here! I am a 7 week old male German Shepherd/Husky mix. I weigh around 11lbs and am not expected to exceed 75lbs.

I came to the rescue after my owner could not find a home for me. They wanted to make sure I ended up someplace safe so surrendered me to this rescue. Now that my foster family has gotten a chance to know me, it is time to start the search for my forever family!

The thing about adopting is you should not do it unless you are absolutely ready. That means you can commit to me for the rest of my life. I am going to be so loyal to my family, and I ask the same in return!

To help make the decision process easier, I had my foster family fill out this questionnaire for me!

-How does your foster act when meeting new people?
Excited.

-Has your foster been to any public settings?
Yes. Scared at first but warms up.

-Does your foster like going on walks?
In progress.

-Is your foster leash trained?
In progress.

-How does your foster do on car rides?
Whines a little and then sleeps.

-Does your foster jump on people?
No.

-Describe your foster dog's energy level?
Active, playful, laid back.

-Is your foster a big chewer?
Not as long as he has a toy.

-Does your foster like to play fetch?
So far, no. But likes to chase his sister when she has the ball.

-Does your foster like to play in the water?
Yes.

-Does your foster play with Toys?
Yes.

-Does your foster have food aggression?
No.

-Does your foster resource guard?
No.

-Do you think your foster would be okay with free-roam of the house even if you are away?
Once potty trained, yes.

-Is your foster potty trained?
In progress.

-Is your foster kennel trained?
In progress.

-Where does your foster sleep at night?
Kennel.

-Would your foster dog do good in an apartment?
He loves to play and run wild. If he gets plenty of exercises I think he’ll be okay in an apartment.

-Is your foster a big barker?
Only when playing with his sister.

-Is your foster good with other dogs?
Yes.

-How does your foster act around other dogs?
Excited, playful.

-Does your foster need another dog in his new home?
Maybe? He loves to play but he might do okay as an only pup if he gets the attention he needs.

-Is your foster good with cats?
Yes.

-Is your foster good with kids?
Yes, all ages.

-What would be your foster's ideal home?
Active. He loves to play so having a friend would be ideal for him.

-What else can you tell me about your foster?
Hendrix is precious. He has the sweetest personality and loves anyone and anything he comes in contact with. He loves to play “tag” with his sister (foster Bellatrix) and has the cutest play stances. He’s your typical ornery, clumsy, playful pup and will make a great addition to his new forever family!

-How can someone adopt me?
The first step is to fill out an adoption app for me at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app

Once this app comes in, it will get sent on to my foster family and they will help me decide if we are a match or not.

-Where are you being fostered?
I am being fostered in Oklahoma City, OK.

-Would I need to come to pick you up?
Yes, you would need to pick me up. This rescue does not send us on transports. It is less stress on us that way. Plus, you and I can already start bonding on the road trip home! ?

-Can I adopt you even though I don't live in Oklahoma?
Yep, I am not opposed to living in another state!

-How much is your adoption fee?

My adoption fee is $275.

That includes two sets of puppy shots and wormings. I will also have had a bordetella. I will be micro-chipped, have a fecal done, be de-wormed, be spayed/neutered, and will be current on heart-worm and flea/tick prevention.
