Heelix's Story

Heelix

Ever wanted your own Jack Dawson but only not a human man(they're hard to house break)
Heelix will be your Jack if you would be his Rose.
He's a seven year old, 40lb little blue heeler that will straight up go to war for his person. He's particularly fond of women.
He's great on the farm around horses, cows, sheep, goats, all kinds of poultry, pigs, cats, other dogs, kids and machinery. He absolutely loves to ride in the truck and go places. He has good leash manners and loves his kennel. He's great off leash at my place and runs with my pack of heelers without an issue. He's a pathetic little baby that wants to be cuddled and snuggled and sleep in your bed.

He has nipped people on the back of the leg(both men, one of which was told to leave right before), in true heeler fashion because he was not being watched close enough on my part. He does well with you constantly telling him to come to you and follow you so he doesn't get himself into trouble. He was not terribly well socialized before he ended up at my place with his first family so he's been a big work in progress on that. He loves my seven year old daughter, all the other kids around and all other women that meet him. Some men he can be very skeptical about and will need a strict and firm handler to make sure he's minding his manners. He goes into tractor supply and the hardware store with me and loves getting treats from all employees.

A perfect home for this guy? A farm family that wants to make sure no ones gonna hurt their kids or a single lady that wants a dog that will sound the alarm.

He would not be for someone who lives in town. He won't let someone strange past your gate or door. Like a true heeler he's got his person who he's madly in love with and everyone else he tolerates. Heelix needs an experienced heeler handler and he will be the best little guy on the planet.

He's up to date on all shots and flea and tick and neutered.

He's available through Friends of the Friendless Animal Rescue. Located outside of Richmond MO.

Adoption fee is $150 to help with vetting.

Fill out an application on our website fofanimalrescue.org.
Then email to LauraMaeStephens03@gmail.com
