Hedy's Story
FAST FACTS:
* 5 Years Old
* Potty Trained
* Dog Friendly
* Blind-Can Not See

Hedy came to us with a big heart and an even bigger spirit. Her mom was a Rottweiler, and Hedy inherited a beautiful black-and-white coat and a sturdy, medium-sized build. She’s also blind, so she stays confidently on the lower level of the home and navigates her familiar spaces with ease.

Hedy is lively, active, and always ready for fun. Tug of war is her absolute favorite game, and she’ll happily play with her toys or with other dogs who enjoy her energetic style. She gets along well with most dogs, but not all cats are fans of her enthusiasm.

She adores people—both men and women—and does well with older kids who are calmer and don’t use loud or noisy toys. She’s wonderfully sweet, loving, and just a little timid in new or unexpected situations. One of her quirks? She’s hilariously afraid of measuring tape and will scoot away the second she hears it.

Hedy is fully potty trained and does great with her routine. She doesn’t do stairs due to her blindness, but she’s perfectly content hanging out on the lower level of the home. She can be left alone for up to 8 hours and will calmly relax until her people return. She doesn’t need someone home all day—just someone who will love her, give her structure, and understand that loud toys can be scary for her.

This playful, happy, excitable, timid, and incredibly sweet girl is looking for a home where she can feel safe, loved, and included. She would thrive in a home without small children who use loud toys, but she’s wonderful with kids and babies otherwise.

Hedy is ready to be someone’s loyal companion, cuddle buddy, and loving shadow. If you’re looking for a dog with a joyful heart and the sweetest soul, Hedy may be your perfect match.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS, NO EXCEPTIONS:
*ADOPTION FEE: $375
*Be at least 21 years of age
*Have the knowledge and agreement of all adults living in the household
*Have approval from owner of residence (written in lease)
*Have a valid ID with current address (please provide proof of address if ID address is not up to date)
*Be approved as a suitable adoptive home by Fetching Tails Foundation
*Be prepared to make a lifetime commitment

If interested, please fill out an application on our website at www.fetchingtailsfoundation.org; please make sure you fill in every required field/question or your submission will not go through.
