Hector's Story
Meet Hector!
This sweet boy has already been through so much. He was literally abandoned in a crate outside a rental home when his former "people" were evicted. Thanks to a caring landlord, neighbors, and his amazing foster mom, Hector is finally safe.
Hector is a total lap dog who follows you around the house and just wants to be loved. He's food- and attention-motivated, enjoys short walks, and spends most of his day snoozing. He's friendly with dogs, cats, and people, and he's especially respectful of cats' space.
He does have some resource guarding (food, attention, and personal space), so having his own safe spot -- like a crate -- helps him feel secure. He's not high-energy, not aggressive, and has zero training, but his heart is pure gold.
Hector's dream home? Someone who loves TV, cuddles, treats, and being together. He'd do great with other pets or as an only child. He just wants a person of his own. 💛🐾
Ready to give Hector the soft, safe life he deserves? To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.

https://longwayhome.org/apply

❤
Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. As long as they need rescue, that's what is most important to us.
