Meet Heavenly

Meet HEAVENLY. This dog suffered a monstrous act of cruelty when her family moved and left her in their yard with no food and water. She drank rainwater to survive. HEAVENLY has gained almost 40 pounds since her rescue. She spends her time at Animal Alliance eating a LOT and reclining on a comfy bed. She is 9 years old and has severe arthritis. She is on meds for the pain. Sometimes she wets her bed if she can’t get up fast enough for her walk. She is completely deaf. HEAVENLY is a kind, sweet, loving dog who holds no grudge against humans despite the misery she suffered over an extended period of time. She was able to escape the fenced in yard when she became thin enough to climb through it and wander the rural area until someone spotted her. Animal Alliance immediately stepped up to take her into our care and brought her back to good health and proper weight. She is 65 pounds now and still needs to gain another couple pounds.

This gentle girl would love to relax and cuddle with their forever person. Inquire about good girl HEAVENLY today.

Photos 5 and 6 show what HEAVENLY looked like when she came to Animal Alliance.

This pet is spayed or neutered in accordance with our strict policy wherein all animals are altered prior to adoption. This pet is de-wormed, current on vaccines, and started on monthly flea/tick preventatives.

Animal Alliance's policy is that we will adopt dogs younger than 1 year old to families with children under 9 years old. We do not adopt dogs 1 year or older to families with children under 9 years old due to the unknown history of adult dogs.

Prior to submitting an application, please see the Animal Alliance Adoption Process for adoption details.

Animal Alliance is not a shelter where all the animals are housed in one location. Animal Alliance is a foster care network and animals are housed in many different locations. If you are interested in adopting a pet, please apply using the online application; applicants who call our phone line will hear a recorded voicemail with this identical message. We adopt many animals each week and meet prospective adopters at various locations so they can meet the animals they are interested in.
