Hazel (LOCALLY FOSTERED)'s Story
Meet Hazel — a big, beautiful heart wrapped in a slightly nervous package.

Hazel is a sweet, 5 year old girl looking for her forever family and a place where she can finally exhale. She's wonderful with other dogs, good with kids, and absolutely shines once she feels safe. Hazel may take a minute to warm up to new people, but when she does, she'll gently place her head right in your lap and quietly ask for love. That's her way of saying, “You're my person now.”

At home, Hazel is a dream. She's housebroken, trustworthy to be left out during the day, and happiest curled up on a soft bed or cuddling on the couch, simply being near her people. She loves gentle hands, cozy naps, and the comfort of routine. Once she settles in, her playful side comes out too — she enjoys running around a fenced yard and will happily play with toys after she's had time to feel secure.

Hazel is a big girl, and while she's working on her leash manners, the outside world can still be overwhelming for her. When she gets scared, she may panic and bark — she has a big bark and big feelings — but it all comes from fear, not aggression. She would do best in a home with a fenced-in yard and patient, understanding humans who can help her build confidence at her own pace.

Hazel is truly wonderful in the house, deeply loyal, and incredibly snuggly. She loves her people with her whole heart and just needs someone willing to see past her nerves and give her the safety she's been missing.

If you're looking for a gentle soul who wants nothing more than love, security, and a soft place to land, Hazel may be your perfect match.

MA License #0092
