Hazel in KS's Story

The adoption process starts with an Online Adoption Application you can find at 'https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application.
Phone interviews do not take place til after an approved application is on file and we have a possible match for your home

My name is Hazel. I am a 1-year-old Boston MIX, weighing 13 lbs. I was a stray who ended up in the shelter. I am being fostered in Wichita, KS.

I am 100% puppy. I love to play, play and play some more. I’m very mischievous, my favorite thing to do is turn everything into a toy and all toys belong spread about in the living room. I knock down pillows from the couch while rolling around acting silly and I like to rearrange blankets and dog beds by dragging them around until I find the right spot.

I’m crate trained and go into my crate when directed. I do settle down and will sleep all night in my crate but would love to sleep in my family’s bed once we bond.

When I came to my foster home I ran from everyone and only bonded with the other pets. I was unsure of people but with help from the other dogs in the house I learned quickly that people aren’t so bad. I now take treats from them and approach them to see what they are doing. I still get shy when people try to pet or pick me up. If you adopt me, I just need you to be understanding and be patient with me so our bond can grow. I like dogs, cats, kids and adults. I require a confident and tolerant canine companion in the home.

My canine companion(s) will be my safety blanket and my puppy coach. I will stick close, sometimes too close as I like to sit on my companions and have been known to fall asleep on them. I need guidance and reassurance from canines and humans. I’m still learning basic puppy stuff along with social skills. Patience is key to my success

Here's a little more about me:
Housetrained? In progress
Leash-trained?
