Hazel's Story

Meet Hazel!
Hazel is a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd mix with stunning brown, white, and tan markings. She came to us after her original family was no longer able to care for her, and she has been settling beautifully into her foster home.

Hazel is housebroken and crate trained, and she sleeps quietly in her crate through the night. She can be a little cautious when meeting new people, but with just a little time and patience she opens up and shows her sweet, affectionate side.

True to her Aussie roots, Hazel is a high-energy girl who would love an active home and would especially enjoy having a dog friend of similar size to romp and play with. Hazel's foster family knows she will need a fenced in yard to be able to freely romp and play. She currently weighs around 60 pounds and could stand to trim down a bit with exercise and play.

Hazel is loving, loyal, and ready to find a forever family who understands and appreciates her smart, energetic nature.

All Heart of America Humane Society dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. If you have other dogs in your home, we require that they meet our dog prior to adoption.
Adoption fee: $225
Once you apply, the foster will contact you to schedule a meet and greet.
Apply here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS/Dog
